Naomi Bindman is an educator, writer and mother of her treasured daughter, Ellen Bindman-Hicks. When Ellen’s life ended suddenly, Naomi’s life came to an abrupt halt, then, very gradually, began a new direction. Naomi had never dreamed of being a performer, and at first resisted that label, even while beginning to play and sing Ellen’s songs publicly, because that had been Ellen’s dream. Eventually, however, she embraced this new role to share Ellen’s words and wisdom and to keep her spirit present. In doing so she has found new joy and meaning in life. Naomi hopes to provide inspiration for others struggling with their own losses and hopes that new audiences will listen to Ellen’s recordings.

Most of all, Naomi hopes to keep Ellen’s light shining.
